The next stage is to heat the pots up in a kiln …

Then the pots are plunged into a sawdust pit and covered to let the smoke do its stuff …

Out of the sawdust pit and cooling down with water. Now is when you can start to see the results…

If you are lucky ( and these aren’t bad ) the resist slip pings off to reveal the smoke fired clay…

And after lots of washing and scrubbing…
